Curious Minds

Curious Minds By: Janet Evanovich   & Phoef Sutton Curious minds is a masterpiece. That must be read, janet evanovich and phoef sutton our a power duo you can't stop. Their story is filled with funny, witty, lovable characters. My favorite by far is emerson knight he is richard castle and patrick jane in one amazing mind. I highly recommened this book to all mystery lovers out there. its about: Emerson Knight is introverted, eccentric, and has little to no sense of social etiquette. Good thing he’s also brilliant, rich, and (some people might say) handsome, or he’d probably be homeless. Riley Moon has just graduated from Harvard Business and Harvard Law. Her aggressive Texas spitfire attitude has helped her land her dream job as a junior analyst with mega-bank Blane-Grunwald. At least Riley Moon thought it was her dream job, until she is given her first assignment: babysitting Emerson Knight. What starts off as an inquiry about missing bank funds in...

The hypnotic City

The Hypnotic city BY: Andrea Berthot   I fell in love with The hypnotic city just as soon as I read the first page. I am blown away by the relatable characters, the well written chapters. It really feels like I am there walking the streets of New York just a few paces away from Philomena and her thrilling dramatic adventure. Philomena is a character most people would want to be; She is a strong, independent, petite , heroine that lets no one get in the way of what she wants.  (She is my favorite character. ) I give this Sequel five big stars! I would highly recommend reading the first book in this series so you understand what Philomena has been through and where she is coming from. its about: Philomena Blackwell survived a city plagued with monsters, the gilded cage of high society, and the rule of a heartless man… and she aims to leave it all behind. It’s 1905, and London has finally been freed from Henry Jekyll’s terrib...

June : A novel

June: A novel BY: Miranda Beverly-Whittemore   June was simply amazing, full of blackmail and good old-fashioned murder that kept me reading until the very last page. I was entranced while following Miranda Beverly Whittmore's tale of  the glitz and glamour of show biz, a mystery of a surprise inheritance, an unrequited love and a love story that transcends time itself. I found while reading that all the characters in june were instantly relatable and I automatically  Hated Delilah As soon as she was introduced, she is totally a great instigator. But June is still my favorite I am totally team June. She is a strong willed, responsible woman who always tries to do the right thing and puts the ones she loves first. She is an instant beloved character.  As well as Lindy (A.k.A "Rabbit legs") she is so sweet!  My only complant is that this isn't a motion picture yet! I highly ...

Chase Away Cancer

Chase Away Cancer By: Ellie Poole Ewoldt Chase away cancer is an inspiring true story of a boy and his family as they fight against the cruel and merciless disease of cancer. I read this book in under 4 hours and I couldn't tare my self away, Chase and his family made me cry, broke my heart and then gave me hope again. Chase is brave and strong and is simply amazing just like the book. Miricles really do happen guys and i highly recommened. One of my favorite parts is chase and his mom talking.  “Will you keep holding me?” “Of course sweet boy!” I stroked his smooth head as he continued. “No, Mom, will you hold me so the death won’t get me and take me away?” Oh dear God….please not now. When the big brown eyes of your tiny three-year-old look into your own, and he asks urgently and honestly to him against death, there are a hundred directions the brain goes over the sound of your heart breaking for the horror of the moment…. Bob and I had never given Chase the burd...

The little Paris Bookshop

The little Paris Bookshop By: Nina George   (Not the cover) The little Paris Bookshop was an enchanting read, the story pulls you little by little into the charming life of Monsieur Perdu. You feel as if you could walk right in his shop and start  squabbling with Perdu over which book was right for you, while slightly being distracted by the wildly engaging description of Paris's delectable food and culture. All the characters seem so seamlessly real and relatable., I just couldn't pull myself away! Perdu is the first real Book Physics, if you have a problem a book can help and The little Paris bookshop is the cure for all, I highly recommend. Its starts: Monsieur Perdu can prescribe the perfect book for a broken heart. But can he fix his own?   Monsieur Perdu calls himself a literary apothecary. From his floating bookstore in a barge on the Seine, he prescribes novels for the hardships of life. Using his intuitive feel for the exa...

Devonshire Scream

Devonshire Scream By: Laura Childs Devonshire Scream was an exceptional read, exactly what I expect from Laura Childs.  I love mystery series though sometimes the story and characters  become predictable but  not with Childs she just keep getting better and better. A great plot with Cliffhangers on every page and clues around every chapter this is a must read for all Mystery fans.   I highly recommend,( these are my own opinions.)   its about:  Catering a high-class trunk show at Heart's Desire Jewelry is a shining achievement for Theodosia and the Indigo Tea Shop. Superman Vol. 1 Before Truth

Superman Vol. 1 Before Truth By: Gene Luen Yang     The art did not meet my expectations from previous experiences with DC comics, The Story was unfoucesed and disaconnected in my opionion. The art seems to be a modern take on Superman but just came off blotchy and hard to look at. I love Superman Comics but truthfully this was a bit of a let down.   It's About: The new storyline "TRUTH" continues with the debut of the amazing new creative team of writer Gene Luen Yang (AMERICAN BORN CHINESE) and continuing artists John Romita Jr. and Klaus Janson! Superman's biggest secret--his true identity--has remained safe until now. What will happen when the big secret is revealed?

Murder, She Wrote: Design For Murder

Murder, She Wrote: Design For Murder   By: Jessica Fletcher , Donald Bain , Renée Paley-Bain        Reading Design for murder was as if I had stepped into an episode of Murder She Wrote. Jessica Fletcher was just as funny, sweet, mild tempered, well mannered an curious as ever. She is the most adorable mystery detective since Miss Marple. The Story is very well written with a great plot of course, I have to say the end of the book was a big surprise. I highly recommend!   its about:  Jessica is in Manhattan to attend the debut of a new designer. Formerly Sandy Black of Cabot Cove, the young man has reinvented himself as Xandr Ebon, and is introducing his evening wear collection to the public and—more important—to the industry's powers-that-be: the stylists, the magazine editors, the buyers, and the wealthy clientele who can make or break him. At the show, the glitz and glamour are dazzling until a young model—...

The Imitation Game: Graphic novel

The Imitation Game: Graphic novel By: Jim Ottaviani   This is a great companion with the movie, It is a very in depth plot which is based on historical events  I thoroughly liked this novel  because I was able to learn a lot of things I didn't know. (I am just  telling you guys ahead of time history always has sad parts so be prepared.)  I highly recommend this novel to all historical book lovers and graphic novel fans! Its' about:   Today, Alan Turing is considered the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence. The mathematician, born on June 23, 1912, was a brilliant World War II codebreaker and parlayed that insight into theorizing and creating the first stored-memory computers. The Haters

The Haters By: Jesse Andrews The Haters is a great hilarious novel about being a hater, having a crush, and being a little different then the average teen. Also about finding yourself and maybe also an awesome band on the way.  I have never liked or even was interested in jazz until this book I guess I am a hater to in some sense. (The characters are so relatable, I can defiantly see myself being friends with Ash In real life we would be besties!) The writing  though reminds me of Rick Riordan's red pyramid series, How the writing style is it makes you think you could actually talk with these characters. I really enjoyed this book. it starts: For Wes and his best friend, Corey, jazz camp turns out to be lame. It's pretty much all dudes talking in Jazz Voice. But then they jam with Ash, a charismatic girl with an unusual sound, and the three just click. It's three and a half hours of pure musical magic, and Ash makes a decision: They need to hit the road. ...

Gambit By: C.L. Denault                I am a little  obsessed  with this book, Gambit makes you want to read it over and over again from begging to end, casting some sort of spell over you binding you to every word on every last page. Gorilla Tactics-Dr. Critchlore's School for Minions

Gorilla Tactics-Dr. Critchlore's School for Minions By: Sheila Grau       This is one of the best children's books I have this year, the series reminds me of the Falcon Quinn chronicles which I really enjoyed. It's a fresh take on monsters/minions, its a fantasy, school filled with everyday school issues and rivalries and a secret that gets uncovered which I never saw coming. I thoroughly  recommend   it's about:    Runt Higgins needs answers, fast. Someone cursed him to die on his sixteenth birthday, but no one seems to know who cursed him or why. Runt decides he must find the Great Library, where all true knowledge is hidden. Unfortunately, the only people who know the location of the Great Library are a covert network of librarian-spies who’d rather die than give up the Library’s secrets. Mission Improbable By: J.J.Green     I usually don't read sci-fi series unless of course its maximum ride, but this book defiantly made me rethink my choices in genres. Broken Dolls

Broken Dolls By: Tyrolin Puxty This Novel was like Lemony Snicket, the writer of Doctor Who,and  The writer of Jack and The Cuckoo Clock got together and wrote one amazing book.
