Manga Book Review!

Hey guys thought I would do a manga Book review, so hope you enjoy!

From the creators of Death Note, comes Bakuman.

If you love drawing and manga this book is definitely going to be in your top favorites. Bakuman is funny, refreshing and actually teaches you about manga art, the story line is cute and has a bit of history repeating it's self.

It is about one question in a way, 'Is becoming a successful manga artist a dream worth chasing?'

The main character is an average student named Moritaka Mashiro, who only draws for fun until he meet Akito Takagi who tells him they are going to make a manga together. Takagi will do the story and Mashiro will do the art. At least that was Takagi's plan but Mashiro turns him down repeatedly, until they get to Miho Azuki's house (which is Mashiro's big secret crush)  were in a turn of event Mashiro tells Azuki he is going to become an manga artist and make an anime series were she can be one of the voices. (it's kind of her dream to be a voice actress.)and  Mashiro also ask one question, "So if that dream ever comes true will you marry me?" and guess what Azuki say's..... well you'll have to go read the book. So go read the series and see is becoming a manga artist will get Mashiro the girl of his dreams.

I hope you guys give this book a try it's pretty amazing.

This is an opening song for the Bakuman anime, yes the book became a anime series! Enjoy!

P.S My favorite part is right after his proposal.

  1. I love the anime, but haven't read the manga yet! For me it was not as much about the manga industry (although it was very interesting to get a little insight on it), but about how hard you have to work to achieve your dreams. The whole story is just amazing. <3

    1. That is a big theme too. Good eye. I think this manga series is amazing. Too bad Bakuman can be a little sexist. Even within Literature it should never be encouraged. You can read about the sexist part from Bakuman Volume 1 Review from Our Inked Obsession

The Heartless City

The Heartless City By: Andrea Berthot                                I love this book, (I did an all nighter to finish it.) . The Heartless City (great title and cover) is one of the best tales of the story Jekyll & Hyde I have ever read. The characters are relatable, the writing is fantastic, its filled with love, horror, drama, and betrayal. I feel sad when I read parts with Cam but I guess that means I feel like i could actually meet these characters. The only thing that I think could change is that they should have brought in Iris's dad ( who I can't reveal) into the book at the end. To sum it up: It starts in London with Henry Jekyll who was a brilliant doctor, a passionate idealist who aimed to free mankind of selfishness and vice. He’s also the man who carelessly created a race of monsters. Once shared secretly amon...
