Rarity from the Hallow review

Rarity From the Hallow BY: Robert Eggleton This was a little different then most the books I review,  it is a children's story meant for adults.  If you like a non-fiction titles with a bit of biography (because its telling the life of Lucy.) this is your choice. Written by a retired children's psychotherapist  you can guess the book is different then anything you've read before. it's about: Lacy Dawn who is a little girl who lives in a magical forest where all the trees love her and she has a space alien friend who adores her and wants to make her queen of the universe. What’s more, all the boys admire her for her beauty and brains. Mommy is very beautiful and Daddy is very smart, and Daddy’s boss loves them all. Except. Lacy Dawn, the eleven year old protagonist, perches precariously between the psychosis of childhood and the multiple neuroses of adolescence, buffeted by powerful gusts of budding sexuality and infused with ...

The Hypnotic City Release

For any of you fans of the Heartless City. (You remember the book that you couldn't put down once you started reading it yeah that was The Heartless City.) The talented Andrea Berthot author of the Heartless City  has just confirmed over all her social media's, ( I also got the scoop personally from her, ) that on August 25 of 2016 her newest novel will be the released The Hypnotic city! Great title right! A  brief description of the book was posted on her blog here it is ;  Based in 1905, a young girl leaves London intent on becoming New York's brightest star - but is it her stage presence hypnotizing the audience, or something more sinister behind the scenes? Love it! So this tells us a little about what we can expect from the sequel , I for one am super excited! What we can know for sure is that  in this next book  Philomena plays a major role. (I'm pretty she is one of the main character,) and wil...

How to Rescue a Rake

How to Rescue a Rake by Jayne Fresina     If you like Lisa Kleypas and Julia Quinn you will love this new up and coming romance series. It has romance, cunning rivalries, heartbreak and a bit of jealousy plus a tad of mystery all in one.   Its about: Nathaniel Sherringham has returned to Hawcombe Prior a changed man. Gone is the reckless rake   who went out on a limb to propose to Diana Makepiece three years ago. Now Nate's mysterious new   wealth has the town's rumor mill spinning. To stir things up (and get Diana's attention), Nate boldly  announces his plans to marry "any suitable girl" under the age of 25.   a great book should at least read once.

The Greatest Zombie Movie Ever

The Greatest Zombie Movie Ever by Jeff Strand To be completely honest the title of the book and what the book is actually about kind of through me but it is in the title (Movie.) I still enjoyed this book it was funny and a real breath of fresh air from what most zombie books are about these days.   It's about how after producing three horror films that went mostly ignored on YouTube, Justin and his filmmaking buddies  decide it's time to make something epic. In fact, they're going  to make The Greatest Zombie Movie Ever. They may not have  money or a script, but they have passion. And, after a rash text message, they also have the beautiful Alicia Howtz as the lead. Hemmed in by a one-month timeline and a cast of uncooperative extras, but aching to fulfill Alicia's dreams, Justin must face the sad, sad truth: he may, in actuality, be producing The Worst Zombie Movie Ever. I highly recommend guys should def...

The Tea Machine: Book Review

The Tea Machine by Gill McKnight   The cover is stupendous, it draws you in and excites you. I personally love tea and steampunk stuff so this book was defiantly a winner for me. If you love, love, space, tea time,  and destiny you will defiantly enjoy this book.   It's t he story of a love that never dies...except it does, time after time after time. London 1862, and Millicent Aberly, spinster by choice, has found her future love—in the future! She meddled with her brother’s time machine and has been catapulted into an alternative world where    the Roman Empire has neither declined nor fell. In fact, it has gone on to annex most of the known universe. Millicent is rescued from Rome’s greatest enemy, the giant space squid, by Sangfroid, a tough and    wily centurion who, unfortunately, dies while protecting her. Wracked by guilt and a peculiar   fascination for the woman soldier, Millicent is determined to re...

When We Were: Book Review!

When We Were By: Alexandra Diaz      This was such a great novel! Perfect to read with friends, or to read solo.   (I was comparing my friends the whole time, to the friends in the book and I have decided I'm defiantly Pinkie.)   When we were is fantastic! So funny! It's a novel which is full of life and relatable characters. I think it is a great coming of age novel that everyone should at least read once.   Also has a relationship all fans like me will be tearing their hair out till they find out if David gets the girl. I am a David fan forever!   Its about:   No one messes with Whitney Blaire or her friends, which is why she can’t help but let it slip that someone spotted Tara’s boyfriend making out with one of the guy cheerleaders. Even after spending hours training for her marathon, down-to-earth Tara can't outrun the rumors about the boyfriend she thought was perfect. Pinkie , the rock and "B...

Arrgh! Review

Arrgh! By Stacey R. Campbell   This is a great way to introduce your kids to the life of Pirates, or shipmates. It's a fun, family friendly, book for all ages! I was very surprised at the kind of Narnia turn of the book, but I think a mouse is probably one of the best companions you can have on a ship! I highly recommend this book!   Its about:     Christopher who is Forced to remain silent after being kidnapped by pirates, and must find a way to save the Georgiana's captain and his daughter from the evil grasp of Red Blade. On this quest to fight for friendship and family no matter what, Christopher gets help from a wise mouse, a friendly cook, a feisty monkey, and the captain's daughter herself, but will it be enough to defeat a band of ruthless pirates determined to rule the Seven Seas?

The Heartless City

The Heartless City By: Andrea Berthot                                I love this book, (I did an all nighter to finish it.) . The Heartless City (great title and cover) is one of the best tales of the story Jekyll & Hyde I have ever read. The characters are relatable, the writing is fantastic, its filled with love, horror, drama, and betrayal. I feel sad when I read parts with Cam but I guess that means I feel like i could actually meet these characters. The only thing that I think could change is that they should have brought in Iris's dad ( who I can't reveal) into the book at the end. To sum it up: It starts in London with Henry Jekyll who was a brilliant doctor, a passionate idealist who aimed to free mankind of selfishness and vice. He’s also the man who carelessly created a race of monsters. Once shared secretly amon...

Beyond The Veil Review

Beyond The veil By: Pippa Dacosta                                      This reminded me of books written by Patricia Briggs.                                  It's a paranormal, fantasy, rush!                           Filled with romance, betrayal, and a super mind blowing twist.   It's begins with: "T hey say I’m half a demon, but I like to think of myself as half human, especially as the demons want me dead.” Charlie Henderson is living a lie. Her real name is Muse and her attempt at a normal life is about ...

Net-Galley reviews!

My first one is Scrap city BY: D.S. Thornton This is a must read for all kids looking for a great book to cuddle up with and get thrown into an epic adventure. I couldn't stop reading i couldn't even tear myself away. The writing was amazing, the characters actually had you crying and laughing, with them. It's about if you believe that under the ground, right beneath your city, was another city? Would you believe it was populated with Scrappers, people built of metal and glass and stone? Jerome has no choice but to believe it after he meets Arkie. Arkie is a Scrapper, and he and Jerome quickly become friends—maybe even brothers. So when Arkie's city is in danger, Jerome knows he must help. But helping Arkie means hurting Jerome's dad, the only real family Jerome still has I highly recommend  this is definitely  worth checking out. My Second one is MANGA CLASSICS: Emma By: Jane Austen, Po Tse, Crystle S Chan, Stacy King     ...

Grand Theft Life Daughter of Darkness, # 1

Grand Theft Life Daughter of Darkness, # 1 By: Katya Mills             This book blew me away!   It was  an amazing book. Every page brought me  in, needless to say a lot of all nighters were taken to finish this book.   If you like holly blacks New fairy series ( Valiant was my favorite) You will definitely like this book as much as I did. It's about: Ame always knew she was different. The voices in her head reminded her all the time. Anti-psychotics couldn't stop them. Her abduction from her home to the underworld was foretold. What seemed at first a nightmare, however, turns around. Her kidnapper, Freddy, actually has the heart to protect and care for her. New book review: An Infinite number of parallel universes

An Infinite number of parallel universes By: Randy Ribay          This book I just received as a pre -release review. It's such a great book! It is one of the best coming of age novels I have read in a long time. It is about 4 senior as their last school year approaches. Four diverse friends united by their weekly Dungeons & Dragons game struggle to figure out real life. Archie tries to cope with the lingering effects of his parents' divorce, Mari considers an opportunity to contact her biological mother, Dante works up the courage to come out to his friends, and Sam clings to a failing relationship. When the four eventually embark on a cross-country road trip in an attempt to solve one of their problems--and to avoid the others--the journey tests their friendship and they quickly realize that real life is no game.   I highly recommend this book please feel free to give it a read. P.S. I received a copy to facilitate my revi...

Tuebl.ca or Libgen.rs

The website has changed my ebook life. Tuebl.ca is a free ebook site for all you readers who like reading as much as me.   I have yet to find one book I couldn't dowload an epub from. This is a really amazing site. How to actually find a book though is a bit more challenging. First you want to look at the tabs at the top of the page and you want to find and click on the srch button. Then in the search box you'll want to type the author or title of the book you are looking for. Make sure you type in the exact title or author, cause if you don't you won't be able to find what your looking for. Such as  if the title your looking for  has a"comma "or a  capital Letter. You Need To Type It Exactly How It Looks On The Cover. Then click on the title of the book not the series or the author but the title. Once you are at the book page scroll down past adds and click download  it will send you to a page were you'll need to wait 15 seconds before downloading...

The Paper Magician

I love this book it is now one of my top favorites!  It's like a mixture between Jane Eyre and Harry Potter.   I really couldn't put this book down not even for a second  I read it for two hours straight and was never disappointed. The plot is so intense and magical you think the whole book will go on just about the romance forming between Ceony and her teacher Mg. Thane but it totally throughs you off guard when the climax happens and the villain appears.  I was so impressed with this book it was simple amazing, incredable, fantastic, terrific, romantic, and I don't even think those words do this book justice. It's about  Ceony Twill who is denied the chance to choose the school of magic to which she will be permanently bound. Instead, an unknown benefactor pays for her tuition, and she’s consigned to life as a “Folder,” a practitioner of paper magic. Apprenticed to the amiable Emery Thane, the hardworking Ceony resigns herself to her fate...

Queen of tomorrow : A Stolen Empire Novel

It is a historical fantasy that will draw you into the world of Catherine the great.     I never really liked historical fictions, but this book kind of started making me think about actually reading some. It is about Sophie―now Catherine, Grand Duchess of Russia―had a tough first year at Imperial Court. Married at sixteen to Grand Duke Peter, heir to the throne, and settled in their own palace, things start to look up. As a new day dawns, Catherine thinks only of securing her future, and the future of their country, during one of the greatest political upheavals of her time. Fighting desperately against forces that try to depose the Empress Elizabeth and put the young Prince Ivan on her throne, Catherine soon finds herself in the middle of a war brewing between her beloved Prussia and her new empire. While navigating the fragile political landscape, she quickly realizes that she has only begun to discover the tangled web of deceit and infidelit...

Late review and Deepest Apologize!

I'm really sorry for all the late reviews my internet died so I haven't really had time between work and reading to fix it so really sorry again! Here are my latest reviews: Keepers cedar hill series book 1  by Gary A. Braunbeck   If your a fan of Christopher Moore this book is definitely for you. It's funny with a bit of paranormal and just enough of a thrill to keep you on the edge of your seat.     Its starts off with The Keepers are coming..." Those are the  last words of a man who died in the middle of a highway through Cedar Hill, Ohio, still echo in Gil Stewart's ears when he discovers a dying dog in his front yard. At the same moment a package arrives on his doorstep. A package holding hope that a past young love might not be lost after all. The Keepers are coming, and they're bringing with them memories Gil has spent most of a lifetime forgetting, memories leaking through fractures in his psyche. The Keepers are coming, and the a...

Busy Body!

Hi guys I have been really busy with work moving, and an art contest I entered so I'm really sorry I haven't been posting any book reviews I will be posting soon.

Spell of Shattering

Get blown away by Spell of Shattering ( the last instalment of the Dark Caster series.) This is a must read for all fans of the Dark Caster series, it was an incredible read, amazing plot I also couldn't stop staring at the cover it really catching. Spell of Shattering is about: Jessa McAvoy who excepts a job from the Mayor to acquire him a very specific property. She was ecstatic about her first big client until the mayor asked her to convince her old friend Derek Walker (a necromancer) to come out of hiding. Which will lead to a chain of dangerous events, like joining the Raleigh coven, stopping Derek's old boss from opening the gates of chaos and letting demons infest the world. Will Jessa and Derek be able to save the world? Join the series and find out! P.S. I really hope you guys pick this up and give it a read when it's released of course.

Everville: The Fall Of Brackenbone

Everville: The fall of Brackenbone Is magic! This book was defiantly my favorite of the four, (it also helps that it has just enough detail from the other books to catch you up with the series.) Everville brings you in to a wonderland, fantasy, realm you never want rabbit hole out of. Everville: The Fall of Brackenbone is about: Owen Sage who takes on the task to save two worlds from a great evil and goes to search for the fourth pillar of truth and face the powerful and evil Governor Jahal. During Owen’s journey he will have to face giants, two lands raging war, and a dragon. Will Owen be able to become the paladin and save Everville or will evil win... I read this book cover to cover and was never let down I hope you all enjoy this as much as I have and defiantly get your hands on a copy. P.S. I received a copy to facilitate my review, but these our my own opinions.

Radiant Angel

Radiant Angel is a shining success! Even if your only into a certain genre this book has a little bit of everything from humor, to action, suspense, mystery  and betrayal. (Buck Harris is by far my favorite character he is an old, sly, patriot that is just who I want to see in any good novel.) Radiant angel is about: Discovering where, and what "the Hana" is and stopping a terrorist attack. It starts off in the view of a man named Vasily Petrov, who gets a coded message that tells him to start operation zero. Then comes in John Corey, who used to be an NYPD Homicide detective but was injured and joined the diplomatic surveillance group. AkA his job now is to watch A$$ holes for his country with his new partner Tessa Faraday. So now John's job is to watch a Russian Colonel named you guessed it...Petrov. But Petrov loses John and thus starts the cat and mouse game of a life time. John and his partner must catch Petrov and stop a nuclear attack before it...

Wicked Charms!

I just finished Wicked charms and loved it, this is my review.                     Wicked Charms is incredible. It's a fast pace treasure hunt, with romance, magic, and betrayal. I couldn't put it down, every page pulled me deeper into the world of Lizzy & Diesel. Lizzy is a headstrong woman who has to save the world with her magical abilities and a pastry bag. Diesel is her partner who is wicked charming and has no problem with saving the world every other day. Wicked charms is about: A bootlegger Collier “Peg Leg” Dazzle who more then ninety years ago hid a treasure that not only was vast but it included a Stone of Avarice. Lizzy and Diesel need to find the stone before a crazed millionaire, a demon cult, an insane historian, and Diesel's cousin Wulf beat them to the stone. They also  have to make sure to not let the demon mammon of greed awaken and take over the w...

Wicked Charms!

Hi guys I'm doing a pre- release review on Wicked Charms By Janet Evanovich & Phoef Sutton, for netgalley.com. So I may not be posting until I'm finished reading. Already on chapter five so hopeful will be finished soon

Gotham Academy!

Hi guys, because this is a review a did before it's release date I can't give to much away but this is the review I did at netgalley.com. Hope you enjoy!     Gotham academy 1.v is  Geek-tastic, it is perfect for all fan's of batman and Gotham's hero/villains. The art is beautiful. The storyline is amazing and It Introduces new lively, lovable characters. (So far Maps is my favorite character. She is a bundle of adventure and curiousness wrapped in a bow of adorable naivety.) But the main character is Olive Silverlocks a strong teenage girl. who over the last summer lost her mom to a coma, broke up with her boyfriend and has chosen to despise Batman. Suck's right?  (Even if it all goes to hell you should never hate Batman.) Through the story Olive try's to figure out what happened last summer to her and her mother, what a strange diary full of notes and symbols is doing in the library and why is there a ghost hunting the grounds. Of c...

Manga Book Review!

Hey guys thought I would do a manga Book review, so hope you enjoy!             From the creators of Death Note, comes Bakuman.   If you love drawing and manga this book is definitely going to be in your top favorites. Bakuman is funny, refreshing and actually teaches you about manga art, the story line is cute and has a bit of history repeating it's self.   It is about one question in a way, 'Is becoming a successful manga artist a dream worth chasing?'   The main character is an average student named Moritaka Mashiro, who only draws for fun until he meet Akito Takagi who tells him they are going to make a manga together. Takagi will do the story and Mashiro will do the art. At least that was Takagi's plan but Mashiro turns him down repeatedly, until they get to Miho Azuki's house (which is Mashiro's big secret crush)  were in a turn of event Mashiro tells Azuki he is ...

Cinder Book Review!

Hope you guys check it out!       Truthfully when I saw the cover I was tempted to put it back, it's not that it is a bad cover. I'm just not into bionic women type books but like the old adage I chose not to judge a book by it's cover, it was probably the best decision I have made all year. Cinder is a beautiful story, with just the right amount of fear, courage, betrayal, and of course love. The story has a small hint of Cinderella to it, but not enough to over power Meyer's own unique story.   Cinder is a young girl and a second-class citizen with a second-class  job as a (very gifted) mechanic. She lives with her stepmother that blames her for her sister's illness. But her world get turned upside down when she find's herself connected somehow to the  handsome, Prince Kai. While she try's to chose between following  her heart and her duty. She will uncover the secr...

Newest Review!

This is my newest review! Enjoy!                  You've  heard of The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices, in some of the books you may have heard about a character named Magnus Bane High Warlock of Brooklyn.   Well Malec fans get ready cause in the Bane chronicles you get to finally find out who Magnus is, where he's from, who his friends are and how it was to go on his first date with a Shadowhunter. There are so many stories these great authors have put in to a mind blowing New York Time's bestselling collection. You get to see a whole new side to Magnus Bane. It's funny, with a bit of those awkward first date moments, romantic, and a non stop adventure into the life of Magnus Bane.  I really enjoyed reading this book hope you guys give it a try, especially on audio book its great. My sister said she could listen to Alec apologize to Magnus forever.   P.S.  My ...

Salutations!

Hi I'm new to this to say the least. Well wait that's not quite true I read constantly! I write occasionally but I have never besides once recently written a book review. I am use to telling my family or friends a short summary that includes the plots and twist for each of the books I read. So writing online on my blog should be the same, of course here I can't rush the review. I also can't say as many and's or any way's, until I remember the part of the book I was trying to talk about. Hopefully I just need to read a book and write a review it shouldn't be that hard right? I am going to post a review as soon as I can.  the one I have done most recently is here hope you enjoy: https://www.thereadingroom.com/book/the-heist/7263067
